Following are major stock gainers on Nasdaq in Thursday’s trading session:
ImmunoPrecise Antibodies Ltd. (NASDAQ:IPA) was the active stock gainer on Thursday and soared 136% to $13.22 after the company announced new results from its TATX-03 PolyTope™ Therapy, a four monoclonal antibody cocktail developed for the potential prevention and treatment of SARS-CoV-2, demonstrating potent pseudovirus neutralizing activity against the SARS-CoV-2 Delta (B.1.617.2) variant.
The Company anticipated viral evolution leading to novel SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern throughout the design of their PolyTope SARS-CoV-2 therapeutic cocktail, aiming to minimize the risk of mutagenic escape (a reduction or elimination in the efficacy of a therapy or vaccine by virus mutation).
Universe Pharmaceuticals INC (NASDAQ:UPC) was another notable winner as the stock went up 44% to end the session at $3.83. In May, the company announced that the Company entered into a letter of intent on April 23, 2021 (the “LOI”) for strategic cooperation with Kitanihon Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (“KP”), a Japanese company engaged in the research, development, manufacturing, and distribution of pharmaceutical and medical products.
Pursuant to the LOI, both parties agree to jointly establish a flagship store on global.jd.com, a popular e-commerce platform in China offering overseas products. The
SigmaTron International, Inc. (NASDAQ:SGMA) surged 30% to $7.07 after the company reported revenues and earnings for the fiscal year ended April 30, 2021. Revenues decreased to $277.7 million in fiscal year 2021 from $281.0 million in the prior fiscal year. Net income increased to $1,541,019 in fiscal year 2021 compared to a net income of $443,102 in fiscal year 2020. Basic and diluted earnings per share for the fiscal year ended April 30, 2021 were $0.36 each, compared to basic and diluted earnings per share of $0.10 each in fiscal year 2020.
