Arcturus Therapeutics Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: ARCT) jumped 43% to $49 after the company received approval for a Clinical Trial Application from the Singapore Health Sciences Authority to enable the advancement of two STARR mRNA vaccine candidates targeting SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern into the clinic; the Phase 1/2 trial will evaluate the vaccines as a primary vaccination series and as a booster.
Hollysys Automation Technologies Ltd (NASDAQ: HOLI) gained 26% after the company announced that its board is in the process of evaluating a non-binding cash offer to acquire co for $23.00/share from a consortium including Superior Emerald (Cayman); this follows co’s receipt of a previously disclosed offer from a consortium including CPE Funds Management to acquire co for $17.10/share in cash, a bid that co previously described as undervaluing the company. Upgraded to Overweight at JPMorgan. At two-year highs.
Harmonic Inc (NASDAQ: HLIT) stock rose 21.41% as the company posted upside Q2 EPS and revs. Results were supported by strong demand in co’s Video and Cable Access segments. Co exited the quarter with record backlog and deferred revenue. Issued upside guidance for FY21 revs. Gains to multi-year highs.
