Powerbridge Technologies Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ:PBTS) was the active stock gainer on Thursday and soared 65% to $2.10 after the company announce that Powerbridge plans to invest and engage in the cryptocurrency mining for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) with planned operations globally. The Company has assembled a team of industry veterans in cryptocurrency and technology to support the development and growth of its digital asset business.

IEC Electronics Corp. (NASDAQ:IEC) was another notable winner as the stock went up 47% to end the session at $15.27. Newark’s IEC Electronics Corp. has agreed to be acquired by a Boston-based electronics manufacturing services supplier in a deal worth nearly $174 million. The Wayne County manufacturer on Thursday said the two companies had signed a definitive merger agreement under which Creation Technologies will acquire all outstanding shares of IEC for $15.35 per share in cash.
The ExOne Company (NASDAQ:XONE) surged 45% to $25.08. As part of its earnings call this week, Desktop Metal announced plans to acquire ExOne. The Pennsylvania-based firm creates a variety of different industrial 3D printers for industries like aerospace, automotive, medical and defense. More recently, we wrote about the company’s portable 3D printing factories, which are effectively mobile additive manufacturing stations built inside of shipping containers.
