German inflation confirmed at 1.8% in September

BERLIN (Reuters) – German inflation eased to 1.8% in September, the federal statistics office said on Friday, confirming preliminary data.

German consumer prices, harmonised to compare with other European Union countries, had risen by 2.0% year-on-year in August.

The statistics office gives more detailed monthly data on its website.
