Small Cap Gainers: RKLY, SLI, EVC

Rockley Photonics Holdings Ltd (NYSE: RKLY) spiked to two-week highs on above 10x average volume. Among recent items in the health monitoring devices space, reports today suggested that Apple (AAPL) is pursuing new health-related features for its smartwatch, including blood pressure measurement and a thermometer. Co’s offerings include “clinic-on-the-wrist” monitoring technology built on a silicon photonics platform that aims to bring “laboratory precision diagnostics” and vitals monitoring to wearables such as smart watches; co has previously stated in filings that Apple is its largest customer.

Standard Lithium Ltd (NYSEAMERICAN: SLI) jumped 24% after the company announced that installation of the SiFT lithium carbonate plant at its flagship South Arkansas project is complete, with all major connections made to the existing plant and the installation of a new weatherproof enclosure. Co also noted that a shift to Hurricane Ida’s path meant that its operations continued without interruption through the storm.

Entravision Communications Corp (NYSE: EVC) moved up 10% as the company announced its acquisition of the remaining 49% interest in Cisneros Interactive; co had first acquired a majority stake in the company in October 2020. With this full ownership, digital now comprises 73% of consolidated revs as of the most recently reported quarter. At multi-year highs.
