Tesla to lay off 300 temporary workers at German site, Business Insider says

FRANKFURT (Reuters) – Tesla is planning to lay off 300 temporary workers at its German plant near Berlin as part of plans to cut global staff, Business Insider reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The cuts are to start on Monday, the report said.

Tesla, which employs a total of around 12,500 at its plant in Gruenheide, was not immediately available for comment.

Tesla is laying off more than 10% of its global workforce, an internal memo seen by Reuters on Monday showed.
